Merchandising, often underestimated yet profoundly influential, acts as the lifeblood of the wholesale and retail sectors. In this article, we will delve into its significance, explore effective strategies, and uncover how it molds customer experiences and fuels business expansion.
I want to share what I've learned in Customer Service in Wholesale and Retail industry,in ASTLC, one of accredited School of TESDA and I piled it up here in this blog.
It begins on how they prepare and arrange their products for display until Sales transactions completed.
How to have an eye-catching display:
1.Prepare products for display- Before putting the products into display rack or shelves. First, clean the rack or shelves and make sure to check the products from dents to damage and even the expiration period. Make sure that all products labelled according to it's category and price.
2. Place and Arrange Display labels/tickets after labeling the products, place them in a display. Arrange the products in visually appealing manner and accessible to customers. Be sure to attached the labels properly in able for the customer to see the product information easily.
3. Place and arrange merchandise - place and arrange the merchandise according to its brand,type,color,size,pricenot according to customer needs
4. Maintain Displays - maintenance of the display is crucial. It includes restocking the sold-out items, rearranging displaced items, cleaning the display area and ensuring that the labels or tickets are still correctly placed
5. Protect Merchandise- this involves security measures to prevent theft,to protect products from damage and to ensure that the products are stored in appropriate condition.
These are some of the methods that Retail Store have been practicing to have successful Retail Business.
